Our curriculum
Our curriculum covers six different learning areas, themes balanced with play-based teaching methods to develop the particular potential of each individual. Children joining our school have already learnt a great deal. Through play our children explore and develop learning experiences, which help them make sense of the world.
We are bilingual kindergartens and emphasize on both English and Chinese language learning.
Children practice and build up ideas, and learn how to control themselves and understand the need for boundaries. They have the opportunity to think creatively alongside other children as well as on their own. They communicate with others as they investigate and solve problems. They express their emotions and feelings in controlled and safe situations.
Your child will be learning skills, acquiring new knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through 6 areas of learning and development.
· Physical Fitness and Health
· Language
· Early Childhood Mathematics
· Nature and Living
· Self and Society
· Arts and Creativity
We emphasize on real-life learning approach and our teaching themes are closely related to children’s ability to learn by experience and to acquire cognition through knowledge development and interests. Students have English activities everyday and two Mandarin activities per week.
Mandarin
Mandarin is taught through a whole range of learning activities, including a process of play, investigation, craft and topics. Children begin to learn to recognise some simple characters in our kindergarten classes Our Mandarin teacher is a fully qualified and highly experienced, and also has special training in second language teaching. Our Mandarin Curriculum is specifically designed for teaching Mandarin to children who are non-native speakers.
Learning beyond the classroom
Our curriculum includes outdoor visit, seminar, picnic etc. this allow our students to learn beyond the classroom and experience learning in different setting and environment. Children can learn in real contexts and authentic settings. Our teachers will make good use of resources and settings available at our school and in the communities, in order to create suitable learning contexts for particular educational purposes.
Smart Kids Program
Each month we honour children who make a difference in their school through their remarkable achievements.
Integrated Fun Friday lessons
This programme provides a fun and engaging ways to bring music, cookery, physical exercise, art and crafts, language and science through hand-on experiments as a form of active learning strategy, therefore offering other means by which children can improve their cognitive skills through tactile, oral and visual learning. Parents are often invited to join volunteers and assist in the classroom.

Role of Parents
We encourage our parents to volunteer with many activities throughout the year.
